There is repetition and then there is irritatingly tedious repetition that tempts one to jab a pencil in one's ear if only to make it stop. This album falls squarely into the latter category.
I've listened to this album since it came out, and I still love it. The Chemical Brothers are a classic name in electronic music, and this album came out right when they reached a level of mainstream success. Give it a listen if you like any sort of electronic music or are new to the genre.
The rest is just icing on the cake. This album is worth it ENTIRELY for The Private Psychedelic Reel. At the very least, get The Private Psychedelic Reel MP3 for $2.
just hide it from the kids. the bottom line might be twisted into the bass line. when i listened to it yesterday it was definitely on the move, off to somewhere. corporate profits might suddenly seem silly. it really could. so, if you are an adult and can keep your cool, then buy this. probably a party, judging from the sound of things. kids might hear this thing and decide that a life devoted to keeping the stock market afloat is not a life at all.
conservative principles could be overturned in impressionable minds. it's good stuff. this is busy music. parents should keep this cd away from their children. all that could happen.
I really enjoy this album, they have a unique style that reflects many influences.
